although not the most practical house, the great barrier house by crosson clarke carnachan architects looks great. i do love the fact that it’s very simple and honest in its design but the inclusion of glass takes it to another level. being a huge nature whore, the fact that the house is surrounded by a mass of puriri trees on great barrier island, new zealand makes it very special. i’m also a huge sucker for the really large windows!
h.2 residence by 314 architecture studio in athens. it’s not the most amazing thing ever, in fact it’s kind of boring. i do however really like how the house is lit, it feels very warm & luxurious (a+ for dating a guy in the lighting field). the pool is pretty great too… overall it’s not really my cup of tea as far as aesthetic, but there’s no denying that the architect is very talented
